Formula & constants
Pickets = run in inches ÷ (picket width + gap). Classic spacing gaps equal to half the picket width; privacy styles run zero-gap or board-on-board with overlap. Every default in the fields above is editable — when your supplier’s spec sheet lists a different density, coverage rate or price, enter that number instead.
