Formula & constants
Volume in cubic inches × 0.554 = fluid ounces; split evenly between parts A and B for 1:1 systems. Deep-pour resins cast 2–4 in per layer; table-top resins max 1/4 in per pour. Every default in the fields above is editable — when your supplier’s spec sheet lists a different density, coverage rate or price, enter that number instead. The waste and compaction allowances follow common trade practice; see our methodology page for the derivation of each formula and the standards it references.

Why did my resin crack or smoke?
Exceeded max pour depth — cure is exothermic, and thick pours of table-top resin overheat. Use deep-pour formulas for 2 in+.
Do A and B always mix 1:1?
No — systems run 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 by volume. Ratio errors stay sticky forever; measure, don’t eyeball.
